RELATIONSHIP TEST - ARE YOU CONTINUING WITHOUT PLEASURE?

Author: cdmohatta
A relationship should be like a flowing river. Fresh, moving around and finding ways around obstacles. Enjoying a relationship should never be like a still pond of water that just exists. A relationship should have life and should never be a compromise.
But many relationships become like a pond. They began like river but are now stationary wondering where to go, and whether to exist at all. But they continue existing without any pleasure. The main reason is the inability of partners to face the uncertainty of breaking the relationship.
The relationship continues because the partners do not want to face the future alone. They are tired of it and worried that they will undergo more pain if they break the relationship. They neither try to refresh the relationship nor break it. There lies the heart of the matter.
What should they do? They should sit together, talk about the stagnation in the relationship, and talk about how to give it a new life. If they decide that it will not be possible, they should break up and look towards a better future. A relationship without pleasure will break up any way after some years. By that time, lot of time would have been lost and the discord would leave a very bad stamp of experience on both the partners. Better to control the disease in time. Start taking steps from today. Become more aware about your relationship. Analyze it more closely.

DATING AND SEX

Dating in today's world has changed dramatically in the last half century. The subject of sex, and even the act itself, has become more recognized as an acceptable part of a date in today's world.

In the 1950's and early 1960's the subject of sex was rarely discussed or considered in such an open manner, on a date, as it is today. This is not to say that sex, or the subject of sex, has never made an 'appearance' on a date. On the contrary, sex, on many occasions, has indeed 'inserted' itself into a date. The difference between then and now is that those occurrences were the exception, rather than the rule.

For the broad majority of daters in those times, the subject of sex was kept in the background. Sex was the unspoken of 'elephant' in the room. As one might expect, in a situation where two healthy young members of the opposite sex are sharing close quarters, there was always an undercurrent of sexual electricity in the air. It just was not openly, or crassly, acknowledged by the dating couple.

Most of the dates back then, followed along similar lines. During a date, a guy could make suggestive jokes and/or comments, and sometimes, playfully hug and grab the girl, but he knew where to draw the line - and had enough class not to cross it. A girl flirted and looked knowingly at her date, and depending on the circumstances, might allow a certain degree of superficial physical contact. Still, she wouldn't go so far as to put herself into a compromising situation that she couldn't get out of.

Most dates culminated in a 'good night kiss'. Some went further, and included 'heavy petting', which included tongue kissing, fondling, etc. - but no 'skin' came out into the open. Finally, a smaller group included those who went 'all the way'; but as previously mentioned, this group was the exception, rather than the rule. It was rare that a dating couple would have sex during the early stages of 'courtship'.

While there is no question that sex was always in the background of a date, the daters had enough self-restraint, or, self-respect, to prevent it from coming to the fore.

In today's world of dating, sex has taken a much more prominent role. On most dates, sex is openly discussed and talked about by both daters. There's little embarrassment in answering questions about one's past sexual experience, one's likes or dislikes, or even one's level of sexual expertise. Questions of this nature are neither embarrassing to the participants, nor, thought of to be intruding upon one's personal and private business.

In fact, if the subject of sex isn't brought up, the dater is often thought of as boring or inexperienced, rather than respectful of one's privacy.

Even more disturbing is the number of first time daters that engage in sex after knowing one another for mere hours. Many guys come right out and ask their date if they have ever had a 'one night stand', and/or if they would be interested in having a 'one night stand'. Few girls are insulted by this line of questioning, and answer as if they were at a job interview. Worse still, some girls consider the request, and some even agree to it.

When it comes to sex, it seems as though the thought process of some of these young women has become slightly warped. Point in fact, an increasing number of young women today insist that a certain type of sex, which I will not describe here, is not, in fact, sex. They say sex only occurs when two people lay together and have sexual intercourse. They say that any other sex act isn't a sex act at all, and such acts are no worse than kissing. With this type of thinking, it's plain to see how easy it is for unscrupulous males to exploit these naive and ill-informed females.

The level of self-respect and self-control, in many of today's dating couples, seems to have declined in direct ratio to the increase of their unabashed and unbridled lust.

It would be wise, for the daters of today, to keep in mind that while it cannot be denied that having sex is a pleasurable experience, it can also be a costly one. The act of sex carries consequences and responsibilities that are frequently underestimated, and often overlooked.

Pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, family crisis, and a loss of standing in one's community are just some of the consequences of an 'uncontrolled libido'. Sexual choices made by daters must be fashioned with foresight, self-control, and a willingness to accept responsibility for one's actions.

When dating couples are able to exert a degree of control over their sexual desires, they will be more likely to have enjoyable, rewarding, and respectful relationships with one another.

HE PLANNED TO APPROACH 100 WOMEN

Every once in a while I get such good emails from students, there's nothing better I can do than to simply let THEM do the talking. What you are about to read comes from the special "Speed Seduction®" customer forum; a list of nearly 2,000 people world wide who have purchased a Speed Seduction® Home Study Course and daily discuss their challenges, breakthroughs, questions and experiments. I’m very proud of this resource I provide, because it lets students not only talk with me, but with each other, and having that community supporting your learning can be a big boost of confidence.

With that in mind, here’s a student’s progress report he posted on his plans to approached 100 women. Pay special attention to his brilliant advice on overcoming the fear of “failure”.

****************************************************************************
Dear Ross and seduction brothers,

From talking with the awesome brothers in the Boston area it became obvious from their comments that the only way to get better at walk-ups is to do a lot of them. So Eric suggested this approach, which worked very well:

choose a number of walk-ups to do, and go with the EXPECTATION of getting shot down.

That's somewhat paradoxical but that's what makes it work. So I set my goal at a 100. I've already done 50, and this is the half-time report.

It's been FANTASTIC (aside from getting enthusiastic phone numbers from women who even have boyfriends and very positive responses). Going with the expectation of let me get another one on my list makes things a WHOLE LOT easier. There's no hurt, no rejection, it's just another notch. "Here goes number 33."

INSTEAD of going with the goal of I am going to get this many phone numbers, and feeling good/bad depending on the outcome, go with the goal I'm just going to have fun getting shot down this many times and learning. Then, it's piece of cake to learn.

SET a concrete number of approaches you want, and do it. You WILL be successful at doing that.

Basically, now, I feel comfortable approaching almost any woman under any condition (the train, a coffee shop, etc.). It really is a LEAP from where I was before.

My state is infinitely more solid... and while I can get better with very attractive women, I lead with much greater ease, I deal with most objections right away, and I'm able to instill comfort/ease/trust almost instantaneously.

I can only imagine what will happen when I get to 100. But I'm not worried about that... I just need to get 50 more under my belt.

(Techniques That Helped Him Do It!)

Now here're a few techniques you may want to use: Talking with other SSers: I cannot say enough about this. The Boston team is great, and posting/reading up people's SS postings while doing the above is both encouraging as well as enlightening. I just want to thank the thoughtful people who post quality emails ... some of us really appreciate it.

Self-reward and -analysis: Always pat yourself in the back after making an approach or every few approaches. It works. It sounds funny but you feel better when you tell yourself 'good job' and give yourself a pat in the back.

Every say 5 approaches analyze what you did... think how you could have done it concretely better... and replay in your mind how you'd have done it. DON'T analyze every time, do it every say 5 times.

Women are random and if you analyze it each time you'll NOT see the real pattern. No pun intended. :) But the exercise (AGAIN) is not to get better, although you naturally will, but just to get across the X number of getting shot-down.

Fear of failure and safety: Early on I sat down and asked myself what in the world was holding me back from approaching beautiful (physically, intellectually, spiritually) women and making their lives sheer beauty, wonder, delight... and I realized... it was just a simple fear of failing.

What if I make a fool out of myself? What if I fall on my face? What if I just annoy her? Being someone who's successful at a lot of things he's tried in life this was a BIG one.

But then after some thought I realized it was a paradox. THE BIGGEST FAILURE IS TO FEAR FAILURE. If you fear failure, then you're GUARANTEED to fail every time.

Think about it. Think about this for long enough and it'll BLOW your mind AND any fear of failure you have out of the water. DRILL on any such feelings with this paradox.

If you fear failure, YOU WILL FAIL EACH AND EVERY TIME. It's a complete guarantee. So THAT FEAR IS ITSELF the BIGGEST FAILURE.

Secondly, often we want to be 'safe.' But usually, safe from what?? Safe from success, safe from learning how to move women in ways that may astonish us. Do you want to be safe from success? Really? Think about your whole life ... do you want to be safe repeating that SAME pattern?

If these are issues for you, I'd try meditate on these two ideas, after some breathing exercises, and you may find, like I did, that meditation affecting your whole life timeline, going to the deepest crevices of your being, and you will be decontaminated from those thoughts in a couple hours or days.

Don't be surprised to see your whole physiology changing. This is not just pattern language... my whole body felt it. Use the titanium drill of the paradoxes to destroy those filthy mental microbes.

Best regards, Stephen/Angelo

****************************************************************************
Ok. Ross here again. This student really got it when he talked about the paradox of fearing failure actually being the biggest guarantee of failure.
You see, as I have said before, it is the meaning you assign to things that determines how you will feel about them. If you assign the meaning that you MUST “succeed” with every beautiful girl you see, you are going to drive yourself nuts with all sorts of unneeded fear and stress.

When you assign the right meaning to things; that you are just practicing and you are intending to fall on your face, just to practice, suddenly it loses its importance and paradoxically, you do a lot better with a lot less effort.

My own personal beliefs about meeting and seducing women are, “Let’s go have some fun with her and find out what she’s like” and “I will either get what I want or learn what I need to in order to get what I want or even better next time”.

Try THOSE on for size, and see what happens to any fear of approaching women.

‘Til next time.
Peace and piece,

Ross

TOO BUSY FOR RELATIONSHIP?

If you currently feel that you don’t have enough friends in your life, one reason may be that you have let yourself become too busy to make time for the relationships you already have.

Nurturing and maintaining friendships requires effort and commitment. Many of us let our lives become so busy with work and other commitments that we don’t get around to scheduling time for pleasure and renewal with the friends, relatives and acquaintances we already have.

Making the effort to call your friends more regularly, and to accept more of the invitations you receive from others, can improve your social life in a hurry!

Are there any people you could call right now and be assured of a pleasant welcome? Are these people that you could count on to help you in a crisis? Can you have close talks with them? Do you have fun when you are together? Are you happy to have them in your life?

If you haven’t seen much of them lately, is it because you have become too busy? Have you grown apart? Was there an argument?

If the main reason you haven’t been getting together with the people you already know is because you have gotten too busy, take a good look at how you spend your time. Compare it with your real values and priorities in life. Is your hectic lifestyle really bringing you the quality of life that you want?

If you have become too busy for friends, why has this happened? Are you pursuing material toys in your life at the expense of relationships with other human beings? Have you allowed your time to be over-committed because you never say “No” to anyone? Do you insist on doing things yourself that could be delegated to others? If so, why? Do you believe that everything depends on you?

Examine whether the way you are currently spending your time accurately reflects your deepest values and priorities. Make sure that you schedule adequate time for the things that are truly most important to you.

If you really want to keep friends in your life, make a space in your schedule, and a space in your heart for them.
